HandsNet is a national, nonprofit organization that promotes information sharing, cross-sector collaboration and advocacy among individuals and organizations working on a broad range of public interest issues.

Immigrant Policy Project
The Immigration Policy Project is identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on state legislation and policies introduced and enacted in 1997 and 1998 that relate to state implementation of the 1996 welfare reform's immigrant provisions. Its web page provide the latest news and analysis relating to immigration.

Jobs with Justice
Jobs with Justice is a national campaign for workers' rights that works through coalitions of labor, community, religious, and constituency organizations to fight for workers' rights and economic justice.

The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights
The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights is the nation's oldest, largest, and most diverse coalition of organizations committed to the protection of civil and human rights in the United States. Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation

The National Council of La Raza
The National Council of La Raza is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization established in 1968 to reduce poverty and discrimination, and improve life opportunities for Hispanic Americans.

The Urban Institute
The Urban Institute investigates social and economic problems confronting the nation and analyzes efforts to solve these problems. The Institute seeks to increase Americans' awareness of important public policy choices and improve the formulation and implementation of government decisions. Its New Federalism project is especially relevant to welfare advocates.

Service Associations
American Public Human Services Association
The American Public Human Services Association is a nonprofit, bipartisan organization of individuals and agencies concerned with human services. Their members include all state and many territorial human service agencies, more than 1,200 local agencies, and several thousand individuals who work in, or otherwise have an interest in, human service programs.

Welfare Law Center
The Welfare Law Center works with, and on the behalf of people who are poor, to ensure that adequate income support meets basic needs and fosters healthy human and family development.
