About the Annie E. Casey Foundation Families Count: Family Strengthening Awards Program
The Annie E. Casey Foundation believes in supporting programs that support healthy
family relationships, increase a family's overall financial situation, and improve the community where
they live. The Families Count: Family Strengthening Awards Program is designed to:
- Recognize and reward exemplary Catholic Charities programs that build strong, capable, and economically successful families living in viable communities.
- Promote the award winning programs to encourage adaptation and/or replication. Produce and distribute a yearly Family Strengthening Program publication that summarizes models and approaches of best practices that empower families and communities.
- Facilitate the sharing of cutting-edge knowledge through education and on-going peer-to-peer training.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation believes that "kids do well when familes do well, and families do better when they live in a supportive environment."
